A huge Homecoming parade is planned for the Friday night. Service groups, the churches, schools, etc. have received invitations to participate. Things are well underway to provide a program with something for everyone throughout the weekend.

Lou and Sharon Hunter are reminding us to pack our bags for the Big Homecoming 2010 Party one year from this July 1, 2009. They are chairs of the Highschool Reunion Committee for next year's event.

We have a snappy logo courtesy of our committee and Thames printing- "The Hills are Alive with the Sounds of Homecoming". Of course, the old brown suitcase is a prominent part of every Homecoming logo. Remember the "Out of this World" logo from 2000 featuring the old brown suitcase encircled by orbits? If you don't remember, keep an eye out for the lit-up Homecoming sign on the Ray Bennett Park on the west side of the river.

A new feature this time is our website designed by Meg McKay of Power Flower Web Design. The finishing touches are up and running with links to the Town, Highschool Reunion, Photo Gallery, Press, Program, etc. There are plans to recognize Central and Arthur Meighen closings during this time when so many visitors will be in town. The committee is hoping that as many organizations as possible will get involved in this once-every -ten-years event. More details will be made public as program is put into place in the next few months. Look for old brown suitcases and our new logo about town in the near future! Circle July 1-4, 2010 on this year's calendars. Let friends and family from near and far know so they can plan to attend the biggest St. Marys party since the turn of the century!

The Hills are Alive With the Sounds of Homecoming 2010! Marlene Forman and Kathy Blake are shown with the snappy new logo for next year's Homecoming. It was designed by Julie Pickering of Thames Label after an "off the cuff" suggestion by Homecoming Committee member, Bob Sass. It features the old brown suitcase, familiar from Homecomings of the past. The Big Party is just a few months away- July 1-4, 2010 and plans are well underway with committee meetings being held monthly.
